ASLAN2025 Congress: AI and Digital Innovation. Major Challenges and Opportunities

The @aslan Association, which brings together over 180 leading national and multinational companies in the technology sector in Spain, is currently preparing for the ASLAN2025 Congress and EXPO, the 32nd edition of the annual reference event for the entire ecosystem of technology providers who update their proposals based on the latest solutions to address the main challenges faced by both Spanish companies and the public sector, which can turn into opportunities with the right choices.

ASLAN2025, which will take place on March 18, 19, and 20, 2025 at the IFEMA Congress Palace, will bring together more than 8,000 professionals in a year when artificial intelligence has already established itself as the major transformation agent, as it is expected that more than half of companies will be in a mature stage in the AI world by 2025, both by itself and in combination with other technologies such as 5G connectivity, advanced analytics solutions, and the constant growth of IoT, providing specific and flexible solutions for current challenges.

Digital infrastructures, as a support for a constantly evolving productive and competitive model, have found in artificial intelligence a technology that facilitates evolution while proposing advanced solutions that were previously unthinkable. The same applies when talking about cybersecurity, one of the main challenges related to digital transformation, which finds in AI a tremendous ally for the deployment of proactive measures to prevent security breaches that have continued to grow in recent years and are expected to cost the global economy $10.5 trillion by 2025.

The challenge is even broader when remembering that public administrations must also accelerate their digital transformation process. From the General State Administration to local public entities, they must adjust to the demand from citizens for more and better services, always up-to-date information about them, public service, and adaptation to the most current standards in sustainability and competitiveness. ASLAN2025 is the leading space in Spain to promote public-private collaboration between public administrations and the technology sector.

The need for digital transformation extends to the entire productive fabric, including small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) which, on their own, do not have the necessary resources for the design and implementation of a digitalization strategy, but can rely on the services of the distribution channel and MSPs to make significant progress in this regard. In this context, the evolution of the MSPs themselves, who effectively adopt the role of CIO for the SMEs they serve, is essential to ensure they start from the best possible situation to place their clients at the forefront, allowing them to benefit from the latest advances. ASLAN2025 will focus on managed services, both for cybersecurity and digital transformation, to support the distribution channel.

Alberto Pascual, President of the @aslan Association, highlights the 35 years of history of the association, which currently includes more than 182 leading companies in the technology sector. “Having collaborated with over 300 companies to organize more than 500 activities and influence 210,000 professionals during a 35-year trajectory validates our experience and knowledge,” he states.

On his part, Francisco Verderas, Managing Director of the @aslan Association, reminds us that the already more than thirty annual editions of the event have established it as the major national reference, the meeting point for the technology sector, professionals, companies, and the public sector, to promote innovation and competitiveness in our country. “Following the exceptional success of attendance in the last edition and the expansion of the conference program in recent years, in 2025 we will grow in time and space, extending the duration of the event to three days and developing new exhibition areas, which will benefit both visitors and exhibiting companies.”
