Asepeyo has awarded T-Systems Iberia, the digitalization services division for businesses and public administration of the Deutsche Telekom Group, the contract for the technology necessary to migrate its information systems to a hybrid cloud platform. With this contract, the Mutual aims to promote a new model of greater technological sovereignty, minimizing dependence on proprietary solutions.
The move to the public cloud will provide Asepeyo with new capabilities that will allow it to evolve towards a more flexible model, significantly reducing the risk of service discontinuity for its more than 270,000 mutualistic companies, 3 million patients and users, and 3,500 employees.
In this regard, T-Systems will implement a hybrid cloud solution in a simplified manner, ensuring uniform service management, in order to facilitate comprehensive governance of information systems. The model incorporates major public cloud providers, such as Google and Amazon Web Services (AWS), for the advantages they offer in terms of flexibility, scalability, automation, and especially innovation capacity in new differential services.
“Access to information, process management, or service portfolio must guarantee process agility. Therefore, digital transformation of companies has become an essential factor,” says Ramon Puigoriol, head of the health area at T-Systems Iberia.
Since 2017, the Asepeyo Live project has driven the comprehensive digitalization of processes and services in order to improve the customer and user experience. Its ultimate goal is to make the Mutual a benchmark company in process digitalization and innovation in occupational medicine.
Joan Lluís Pagès, CIO of Asepeyo, explains that their commitment to digital transformation “is driven by increasingly demanding business requirements. Information systems and the different elements that make them up are becoming more critical every day, both in their operation and in the flexibility, agility, and reliability of the transformation processes they must support.”
With this collaboration agreement, the migration of Asepeyo’s information systems will allow a technological renewal of the elements that make up the company’s current platform, towards an updated and more innovative architecture.
