Arsys Promotes Proximity Commerce with its Participation in the European TrustChain Initiative

The technology company Arsys, a specialist in cloud solutions, has announced its participation in the European initiative TrustChain with an innovative project aimed at integrating retail into the Data Economy. This initiative, developed under the European Commission’s Next Generation Internet program, aims to build a more decentralized, trustworthy, and user-centric Internet.

A data platform for local commerce

Arsys’s project consists of creating a data aggregation platform specifically designed for retail businesses. This platform will allow stores to access structured, high-quality data provided directly by customers through their mobile devices. In exchange for sharing their Customer Experience, users will receive benefits and incentives managed via a mobile application similar to a digital identity solution.

This system ensures that users maintain complete control over their data, upholding the highest standards of security and privacy while complying with European regulations. The information will be collected in an anonymized and authenticated manner, enabling retail businesses to use this data to optimize their services, design more effective promotions, and enhance their competitiveness in an increasingly data-driven market.

An innovative pilot in La Rioja

To ensure the system’s effectiveness, Arsys will launch a pilot project in collaboration with the Federation of Companies of La Rioja (FER). This pilot will assess the implementation of the platform in a real-world environment, leveraging the experience of leading commercial associations in La Rioja. According to Miguel Martínez Vélez, Chief Product Officer of Arsys, “local commerce significantly contributes to the wealth of our cities and employment in Europe. Initiatives like TrustChain enable local businesses to leverage the potential of data to compete on the same level as large corporations.”

The role of TrustChain in digital transformation

TrustChain is a key initiative within the European Commission’s Next Generation Internet program. Its mission is to develop protocols and software solutions that promote Internet governance aligned with European values, addressing challenges such as digital identity, privacy, data transmission, and energy efficiency.

With the support of TrustChain, Arsys positions itself as a fundamental player in integrating retail into the Data Economy, promoting a sustainable and competitive business model.
