Arrow Electronics, a leading technology company, has strengthened its partnership with IBM through an expansion of its strategic agreement to distribute the IBM Storage Protect for Cloud solution via the ArrowSphere Cloud platform across the entire EMEA region. With this move, channel partners will find it easier to access advanced cloud data protection tools and offer them as part of integrated and multi-vendor solutions.
The initiative leverages the long-standing relationship between the two companies and aims to enable distributors and partners to market cloud services with recurring revenue models. Thanks to this integration, partners can accelerate deployments, expand their operational capacity, and respond more quickly to business needs related to data resilience and security.
IBM Storage Protect for Cloud is a SaaS solution designed to safeguard critical workloads in cloud environments. The platform features automated backup functions, granular recovery, and tools aimed at minimizing the impact of incidents such as cyberattacks, human errors, or service disruptions. Additionally, it helps organizations maintain business continuity and meet increasing regulatory and compliance requirements.
Adding this technology to ArrowSphere Cloud also responds to the rising demand for digital models of acquiring and managing technological services. The solution, API-ready for integrations, simplifies processes and offers a more streamlined and centralized purchasing and management experience.
Furthermore, ArrowSphere Cloud incorporates artificial intelligence capabilities that enable partners to optimize tasks related to sales, operations, and service lifecycle management, as well as to identify new business opportunities through data analysis.
Mike Worby, Head of Strategic Alliances for Arrow’s Enterprise Computing Solutions in EMEA, stated that this expanded agreement reinforces the company’s strategy to promote integrated cloud solutions from a single platform. He explained that the incorporation of IBM Storage Protect for Cloud will allow partners to accelerate service delivery, expand their cloud activities, and unlock new recurring revenue streams.
From IBM, Rose Renck, Vice President and Global General Manager, highlighted that the collaboration with Arrow will enable channel partners across the EMEA region to offer more comprehensive, flexible, and tailored data protection solutions to meet current business needs.
The agreement is now active, and the IBM Storage Protect for Cloud solution is available to Arrow partners in the EMEA region through the ArrowSphere Cloud platform.
