Arrow Electronics, a global technology solutions provider, has announced a new collaboration with PEAK:AIO, a company specializing in storage solutions specifically designed for AI workloads. Through this agreement, Arrow’s Smart Solutions division will integrate PEAK:AIO’s hardware platform, enabling distributors and solution providers to offer storage devices optimized for AI within GPU-based infrastructures.
The joint platform aims to meet the increasing needs of companies running advanced AI workloads, delivering high performance, low latency, and predictable storage, without the complexity associated with traditional enterprise storage architectures or parallel file systems used in HPC.
Modular scalability and efficiency for GPU clusters
PEAK:AIO’s AI data server has been designed to adapt to how organizations scale their AI applications in practice. Starting from a single 2U server, it allows for modular expansion up to exabyte levels, maintaining the simplicity of a standard Linux NFS environment. The solution is aimed at small to medium GPU clusters, rather than traditional CPU-based HPC superclusters.
Additionally, PEAK:AIO’s architecture seeks to keep GPUs powered continuously, maximizing their utilization without requiring disproportionate investments in storage infrastructure. This efficiency, along with system flexibility, significantly reduces total cost of ownership compared to more complex alternatives.
