Arrow Electronics, a global technology provider, has announced a distribution agreement in Spain with GEMA International Hosting AG to enable its channel partners to access the sovereign Omnissa Workspace ONE solution. This tool is aimed at companies with high requirements for data protection, regulatory compliance, and digital sovereignty.
The agreement comes after the launch, at the beginning of October, of the Sovereign Solution for Workspace ONE, developed jointly by Omnissa and GEMA. The offering combines a modern architecture with advanced security features and automated device management capabilities, allowing organizations to maintain full control over their services, data, and support thanks to regional hosting provided by GEMA. In this way, companies can benefit from the platform’s innovation without compromising their data sovereignty.
Henrik Resting Jeppesen, Vice President of Sales for EMEA for Arrow’s Enterprise Computing Solutions division, highlighted that the addition of GEMA will enable channel partners in Spain to offer this solution in a secure environment tailored to local requirements. He also recalled that Arrow already signed a pan-European distribution agreement with Omnissa last year, which is now expanded with a local option aligned with GDPR compliance.
In this model, Omnissa provides the core technology, which includes AI-based functionalities with continuous learning and adaptation to work processes and security needs. GEMA handles the sovereign infrastructure, while device management is managed by the clients themselves or by channel partners. The unified device management software (UEM) is supplied exclusively by GEMA to ensure hosting within the respective country.
From GEMA, Martin Cornelius, Sales Director of Omnissa Sovereign Solution DACH, emphasized that this collaboration allows the delivery of Omnissa’s technology in a controlled and certified local environment, without compromising innovation or security. He explained that this is an especially relevant alternative for companies in regulated sectors that need to balance technological performance with compliance to local regulations.
