Alibaba Cloud, the technology division of the Alibaba Group, has announced an investment of more than $60 million aimed at strengthening its network of international partners and accelerating the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) solutions. The company confirmed this on July 3 during an event in Singapore, where it also revealed new strategic alliances with companies such as Atos, Crayon, PingCAP, DXC Technology, Dify, Squirro, and Bespin Global, among others.
The goal of this initiative is clear: to expand Alibaba Cloud’s reach beyond Asia and establish itself as a key player in the race for infrastructure and AI services on a global scale. According to the company, the funds will be allocated to incentive programs, joint marketing campaigns, and technical training for its strategic partners.
“Our partners are the true catalysts for customer success,” highlighted Raymond Ma, Global Vice President of Partners and Alliances at Alibaba Cloud Intelligence, while presenting the plan. The executive noted that collaboration aims to foster a shared growth model, combining access to cutting-edge technologies like the Qwen language models with concrete incentives to accelerate digital transformation worldwide.
An AI-Driven Ecosystem
Among the most notable announcements is the integration of Dify Enterprise into the Alibaba Cloud Global Marketplace. Dify, a platform specializing in the development of AI agent applications, will contribute its workflow orchestration capabilities with generative models and its focus on LLMOps (operations with language models). The alliance will enable companies to develop and implement AI-driven solutions more quickly and productively.
Additionally, Squirro, a European provider of generative AI solutions for enterprises, will bring its insights and automation platform to clients in the Asia-Pacific region through Alibaba Cloud. This offering is particularly aimed at sectors like finance, manufacturing, and retail that seek to improve decision-making through augmented intelligence.
Meanwhile, PingCAP has joined forces with Alibaba Cloud to offer TiDB, its AI-ready distributed SQL database, with serverless elasticity, integrated vector search, and hybrid transactional/analytical processing (HTAP). This tool will enable organizations to scale flexibly and respond in real time to market demands.
International Expansion with Major Partners
The French provider Atos will expand its role as a strategic partner of Alibaba Cloud, moving from offering managed services to also becoming a global reseller. This partnership will facilitate the migration of international companies to Alibaba’s cloud, integrating AI and industry-specific solutions with Atos’s technical support.
Crayon, a multinational specialized in software, AI, and cloud services, will strengthen its collaboration in Southeast Asia through its subsidiaries in Singapore and the Philippines, acting as an official distributor of Alibaba Cloud in the region.
The alliance with DXC Technology, a global IT services company, will also allow advanced system modernization and data architecture solutions to reach key markets in Asia, leveraging Alibaba Cloud’s secure and scalable infrastructure.
In Indonesia, Bespin Global becomes the official managed services provider (MSP), aiming to accelerate AI-based innovation and promote efficient cloud adoption. Concurrently, Electrum Cloud, part of the CloudMile group, will work alongside Alibaba Cloud to deliver customized solutions, technical training, and strategic consulting for companies of all sizes in the country.
Sustained Growth Since 2009
Founded in 2009, Alibaba Cloud has established itself as the technological backbone of the Alibaba Group. With over 12,000 partners worldwide, including companies like Salesforce, Fortinet, IBM, and Neo4j, the company leads the cloud infrastructure services (IaaS) market in the Asia-Pacific region by revenue, according to Gartner.
The commitment to a collaborative ecosystem focused on artificial intelligence responds to the global rise of generative models and the need for infrastructures capable of supporting increasingly complex workloads. With this investment and its new alliances, Alibaba Cloud accelerates its expansion beyond China and positions itself as one of the main drivers of digital transformation for businesses worldwide.
