Aire Group reinforces its management team with new key hires, CPO and CRO.

The constant evolution and growth of Grupo Aire have taken a significant step forward with the recent addition of two distinguished figures to its leadership team. Santi Magazù, assuming the role of Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), and Ángel Blancas, joining as Chief Product Officer (CPO), bring a wealth of experience and expertise to propel Grupo Aire’s strategic and operational initiatives.

Ángel Blancas boasts over thirty years of executive experience in the technology sector, holding leadership positions in renowned companies such as Grupo SIA (Indra), Colt Technology, T-Systems Iberia, Dell Computer, Getronics, Sun Microsystems (Oracle), and Claranet as Regional Director. His background in Telecommunications Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, complemented by a master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence from the Universidad Internacional de Valencia, positions him as a key asset for Grupo Aire’s product strategy.

On the other hand, Santi Magazù brings more than two decades of experience in the telecommunications and IT services industry, with a notable track record at Telefónica in roles such as Director of IT Services Engineering for Spain and Director of Cloud Computing sales. Magazù’s career also includes marketing leadership at regional operator Grapes and executive roles in technology startups, notably PlayGiga, which was acquired by Facebook in Spain. With an industrial engineering degree from the Politecnico di Milano and an MBA from INSEAD (France), Magazù is well-equipped to lead Grupo Aire’s Marketing, Sales, Commercial Operations, and Customer Support as CRO.

These additions do not only reflect Grupo Aire’s ambition for growth but also signify a significant boost in strategic decision-making. With their extensive industry knowledge and experience, both executives are poised to contribute significantly to Grupo Aire’s expansion and strengthening in the market.

Raúl Aledo, CEO of Grupo Aire and Aire Networks, expressed his excitement about these new additions: “The arrival of Santi and Ángel marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Grupo Aire. We are confident that their experience and leadership will be crucial for our continued growth and success.”

With these new appointments, Grupo Aire reaffirms its position as a leader in the sector, demonstrating its commitment to innovation and operational excellence as it prepares to tackle future challenges with a stronger and more visionary leadership team than ever before.

Grupo Aire has embarked on a growth strategy towards becoming a leading player in the telecommunications and information technology sector in Iberia, through the acquisition of key companies in the sector. Aire Networks, Ar Telecom, Idecnet, Stackscale, Teradisk, and SysAdminOK are now integral parts of the group, enhancing its service offerings and strengthening its presence both nationally and internationally.

Grupo Aire has established itself as a leading corporate conglomerate in the telecommunications sector, offering a wide range of cutting-edge services. These include connectivity solutions, mobile virtual network operator (MVNO/E), Voice over IP (VoIP), Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS), cloud services, managed services, and data center solutions. The group’s mission is to support companies and public organizations through their operators and technological partners in their digital transformation processes, providing the necessary tools to meet future challenges.

The integration of these acquired companies expands Grupo Aire’s reach, enabling it to offer an even more comprehensive and diversified portfolio of IT services. Grupo Aire’s presence in over 20 proximity-neutral data centers, including 8 proprietary facilities across the Iberian Peninsula, and over 50 European sites, along with its network spanning more than 33,000 km throughout Spain and Portugal, and over 90 national and international POPs, underscores its commitment to excellence and customer proximity.

Furthermore, Grupo Aire’s strategic positioning in the three main European submarine cable landing points (Marseille, Barcelona, and Lisbon) highlights its future vision and ability to efficiently and securely connect Iberia with the rest of the world.

The addition of Santi Magazù and Ángel Blancas to Grupo Aire’s leadership team not only marks a milestone in the group’s journey but also symbolizes the beginning of a new era of innovation and leadership in the sector.
