semiconductor company Aeluma, Inc. has announced the appointment of Willy Rachmady as the new Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Ecosystem. With this addition, the company strengthens its commitment to accelerate the development and commercialization of its technologies in key sectors such as artificial intelligence, defense, automotive, and quantum computing.
In his new role, Rachmady will be responsible for leading collaborations with foundries and technology partners, as well as driving engineering strategies with customers and marketing solutions based on silicon photonics and compound semiconductors.
The executive has over two decades of experience in the industry. Prior to joining Aeluma, he spent much of his career at Intel Corporation, where he held technical leadership roles in strategic corporate initiatives. During that time, he contributed to advances in advanced CMOS processes, heterogeneous integration, 3D wafer stacking, and compound semiconductor technologies, in addition to being listed as an inventor on more than 350 U.S. patents.
At Aeluma, his focus will be on expanding the industrial partner network in areas such as manufacturing, wafer-scale integration, and packaging, as well as driving commercial opportunities for products like imaging sensors, high-speed photodiodes, and quantum dot lasers.
The company’s President and CEO, Jonathan Klamkin, highlighted that Rachmady’s addition comes at a pivotal moment for the company’s growth. He noted that his technical expertise and strategic vision will be essential to advancing the commercial roadmap and scaling up production.
For his part, Rachmady has acknowledged Aeluma’s technological potential and expressed his intention to transform that foundation into new partnerships and market opportunities that will propel the company’s next phase of expansion.
Holding a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University, the new vice president will report directly to the CEO during this new chapter.
