Acronis Appoints Gerald Beuchelt as New Chief Information Security Officer

In a strategic move to strengthen its leadership in cybersecurity and data protection, Acronis has announced the appointment of Gerald Beuchelt as its new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Beuchelt will lead the company’s global information security strategy, aiming to protect Acronis’s systems, technologies, and data while driving the company’s mission to ensure the security of all applications and systems.

Experienced leadership to combat global cyber threats

Beuchelt brings over a decade of cybersecurity leadership experience. Before joining Acronis, he served as CISO at Sprinklr Inc. and held key roles at LogMeIn and Demandware (acquired by Salesforce). He has also collaborated with the National Cyber Security Alliance and the Boston chapter of Infragard, the FBI’s public-private partnership program.

At Acronis, Beuchelt will head a global team of IT, security, and compliance professionals. He will also oversee the corporate technology infrastructure, from technical support operations to server and network management. His focus will be on implementing research initiatives and threat intelligence generation through the Acronis Threat Research Unit (TRU).
