Palo Alto Networks Declares 2026 as the “Year of the Defender” at a New Edition of Mobile World Congress

Palo Alto Networks, a global leader in cybersecurity, will participate once again in the Mobile World Congress, taking place from March 2 to 5 in Barcelona. The company will use this event to present its strategic vision for 2026, which it has dubbed “Year of the Defender”. This is a pivotal moment when organizations will need to strengthen their security strategies to protect an economy increasingly driven by artificial intelligence.

According to the company, this new landscape requires businesses to prioritize AI system security, enhance identity protection—both human and machine—and evolve toward security models based on unified platforms under the zero trust approach.

During the congress, Palo Alto Networks will have its own space at Fira Gran Via (Hall 4, Stand 4D55), where it will demonstrate how new security platforms enable IT leaders to move toward more automated defense systems capable of responding swiftly to threats.

Among the solutions the company will showcase are Prisma AIRS, a comprehensive security platform specifically designed for AI environments; Prisma SASE, aimed at strengthening security in 5G networks and connected work environments; Prisma Browser; and Cortex AgentiX, a tool designed to create, deploy, and securely manage the future workforce based on AI agents.

Through this participation, the company aims to demonstrate how adopting next-generation security platforms can help CIOs and CISOs evolve toward autonomous defense models capable of operating at machine speed.
