In elite motorsport, every millisecond counts. Not only on the track, but also in data management, imaging, and decision-making that support the development of a competition. Behind some of the most demanding and prestigious events on the international calendar—such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Formula E, and the World Endurance Championship—lies AI Kamel Systems, a Spanish technology company with over two decades of experience in timing, race management, and real-time data exploitation.
To meet the demands of an environment where there’s no room for error, AI Kamel Systems has relied on Synology technology as the core of its data infrastructure. The goal: centralize, protect, and streamline the flow of critical information between its headquarters and circuits worldwide where it operates simultaneously.
The challenge: managing critical data in real-time
The company constantly faces a significant challenge: handling large volumes of video, telemetry, and technical documentation that must be available instantly to different teams, locations, and championships. Any interruption or inconsistency in the information can directly impact race officials’ decisions, strategic planning, or even televised broadcasting.
To meet these demands, AI Kamel Systems partnered with Qluodea, an official Synology distributor and technology partner for the project. They designed and implemented a tailored solution that aligns with the rhythms and needs of professional motorsport.
A seamless data ecosystem
The deployed infrastructure is based on high-performance Synology systems, built to operate continuously in critical, distributed environments. Thanks to this architecture, AI Kamel Systems’ headquarters and the circuits it works with function as a single, perfectly synchronized data ecosystem.
One key element of the project is operational video control. Using Synology VisualStation and Synology Surveillance Station, teams can monitor dozens of video channels simultaneously, providing real-time information to Race Control and allowing immediate review of incidents or key moments during the competition.
“Synology has enabled us to centralize and ensure a continuous flow of data, both in the office and at the circuits, with the reliability and speed that motorsport demands,” explains Sergi Galbany, Head of Infrastructure and Circuit Services at AI Kamel Systems.
Continuity, security, and speed
Beyond real-time control, the solution has significantly improved the preparation and execution of each event. Features like replication, snapshots, and automated backups ensure data consistency and operational continuity—even under complex or high-pressure scenarios. This facilitates smoother collaboration between departments and provides peace of mind knowing that all critical information is protected and accessible from anywhere in the world.
Qluodea emphasizes the importance of having designed an architecture capable of running uninterrupted at any international circuit. “Motorsport is a zero-error environment. Our goal was to ensure that AI Kamel Systems had a fast, robust, and perfectly synchronized platform between their office and circuits. Synology offered the ideal combination of performance, scalability, and data protection,” states Jorge Penalva, the company’s sales advisor.
Technology serving precision
The collaboration between AI Kamel Systems and Qluodea has been essential in adapting the technology to the real demands of professional motorsport. Their deep understanding of operational needs and critical timing in each race allowed the implementation of a secure, scalable, and reliable solution that maintains operational continuity without compromising accuracy or speed.
In a sector where every second matters, technology becomes an indispensable ally. Thanks to this focus on innovation and dependability, AI Kamel Systems continues to ensure the heartbeat of global motorsport beats with millimeter precision, race after race.
