Automation Anywhere and AWS Drive a New Era of Human-Agent Collaboration with Amazon Q Business Integration

The Co-Pilot solution enables users to describe tasks in natural language and delegate them to intelligent agents that execute complex workflows in real time.

At the AWS Summit in New York, Automation Anywhere, a leader in Robotic Process Automation (RPA), announced a new integration of its Automation Co-Pilot solution with Amazon Q Business, Amazon Web Services’ (AWS) enterprise-grade generative AI system. This partnership marks a significant advancement in human-agent collaboration within business environments.

The integration combines Amazon Q’s augmented retrieval-based generative AI (RAG) with Automation Anywhere’s Process Reasoning Engine (PRE), providing a more seamless and intuitive experience for users. Thanks to this combination, employees can express their intentions in natural language, and automated agents execute complex processes in the background within the business applications they already use.

Beyond Chatbots: Agile and Purpose-Driven Workflows

Unlike traditional chatbots, this integration allows for the creation of precise, dynamic inter-application workflows, increasing the value delivered to users tenfold. Automation Anywhere’s developers state that this system enables the building of automations that respond in real time to business data and autonomously execute multiple steps, with human validation or approval when needed.

Additionally, the enhanced Automation Co-Pilot is available for both developers and end-users. It can be deployed as a standalone application or integrated directly into existing enterprise platforms without requiring users to change environments.

Statements Toward a Smarter Enterprise

“This new capability of Automation Co-Pilot represents a new era of AI in business, where people don’t just use automation—they actively collaborate with it,” said Adi Kuruganti, Product Director at Automation Anywhere. “By combining natural language, integrated experiences, real-time data, and reasoning, we are transforming the way work gets done. It’s a step closer to the Autonomous Enterprise, where each employee is supported by adaptive digital agents acting with intent.”

Vijay Thomas, CEO of Tangentia and a partner of Automation Anywhere, added: “This collaboration unlocks a new level of AI-driven automation. With Co-Pilot, integrated with Amazon Q Business and powered by the Process Reasoning Engine, our clients can describe what they need in everyday language, and the agents do the rest. It’s a radical shift in the ability to deliver fast, accurate, personalized results.”

A Future Where AI Understands, Acts, and Collaborates

The joint solution aims not just to automate tasks but to enable workers to interact with systems as if speaking with a human assistant, removing technical friction and accelerating digital transformation.

With this integration, Automation Anywhere and AWS position themselves at the forefront of a new business paradigm: fluid collaboration between humans and intelligent agents, where automation becomes a true co-pilot in daily work.
