Vietnam-Taiwan Tech Solution Day connects Asia’s most dynamic tech ecosystems

The technology summit between Vietnam and Taiwan brings together over 30 companies, startups, and investors to promote innovation in artificial intelligence and smart factories.

The Vietnam-Taiwan Tech Solution Day, held this Tuesday at the Executive Center of Friendship Tower, gathered prominent business leaders, startups, and investment funds from Vietnam and Taiwan. Under the slogan “From AI to Smart Factory,” the event focused on cross-border technological collaboration between two of Asia’s most dynamic digital hubs.

With more than 30 corporations, startups, and venture capital firms—including Cathay Ventures, Taiwania Hive, and KK Company—the event provided a strategic platform for forming alliances in key sectors such as applied artificial intelligence, industrial automation, and energy efficiency.

Real Solutions and Regional Collaboration

Organizations like FPT, Digiwin, IsCoolLab, Oriongo, ZiG, and Infinitix showcased concrete solutions in factory automation, energy management, and intelligent platforms, presenting applied use cases in both Vietnam and Taiwan.

A highlight was the presentation on the FPT AI Factory, a platform aimed at scaling AI-based solutions for Southeast Asian companies, as well as joint initiatives with Startup Island TAIWAN and the National Innovation Center (NIC) to foster regional collaboration.

“We are seeing how AI and smart manufacturing are becoming strategic drivers for Southeast Asia’s economic growth,” stated a representative from Startup Island TAIWAN during their speech.

Vietnam: A Rapidly Growing Digital Economy

The choice of Ho Chi Minh City as the venue was no coincidence. With one of the fastest-growing digital economies in Asia, Vietnam is solidifying its position as a key destination for technology investment. According to the Ministry of Information and Communications, the country experienced a 20% increase in the value of its tech exports in 2024.

Taiwan, on the other hand, brings a strong technological capability and access to international markets, making it a natural strategic partner for Vietnam in this new shared innovation era.

Beyond Technology: Community and Culture

The event also included simultaneous English-Vietnamese interpretation, networking spaces, and a bubble tea tasting—an icon of Taiwanese culture—to foster an informal environment conducive to connections among entrepreneurs and investors.

A Roadmap for Regional Innovation

Organizers of the Vietnam-Taiwan Tech Solution Day emphasize that this event marks the beginning of deeper cooperation in artificial intelligence, Industry 4.0, and the development of internationally-oriented tech startups.

Supported by institutions such as NIC and Startup Island TAIWAN, it is expected that the synergies generated during this gathering will lead to new joint programs, investment rounds, and industrial pilots in the coming months.
