ESpanix Achieves “High” Level of the National Security Framework and Complies with NIS2

Espanix, the leading neutral interconnection node in Spain, has announced through its official LinkedIn profile that it has achieved the “high” level of the National Security Scheme (ENS) after successfully passing an external audit. This new status guarantees that the organization automatically meets the requirements of the European NIS2 directive, thereby reinforcing its position as a reference point in cybersecurity and critical infrastructure in the country.

According to the publication signed by Débora Sainz, Compliance Officer at Espanix, “this achievement reflects the organization’s commitment to the physical and logical security of data at the country’s main neutral node and its data center in Madrid, ensuring the continuity of the cybersecurity value chain for both connected companies and public entities.”

The external audit report highlights the high technical maturity of the organization and the excellent professional training of the team. Espanix currently has a network infrastructure prepared for ports of up to 400G, allowing it to continue strengthening security and the growth of the telecommunications sector in Spain.

Achieving this “high” level in the ENS represents a further step for Espanix in its commitment to information protection and service quality in national connectivity, aligning with the highest European regulatory demands following the implementation of the NIS2 directive.

The news, made public via LinkedIn, reinforces Espanix’s leadership in the sector and its key role as a guarantor of security in the interconnection of networks and digital services in Spain.
