The strategic alliance aims to facilitate the deployment of customized generative AI solutions within the SAP ecosystem, meeting the stringent security and compliance requirements in industries such as finance, energy, and defense.
In a new step towards democratizing generative artificial intelligence (gen AI) in highly regulated sectors, Capgemini has announced the expansion of its strategic partnership with Mistral AI and SAP. The goal: to enable organizations to operate advanced AI models within secure environments and comply with the most demanding regulatory frameworks, all through the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP).
The alliance will allow companies in sectors like financial services, public administration, defense, and energy to benefit from generative AI solutions without compromising their data integrity. To achieve this, Mistral AI’s multilingual and customizable models will be integrated with SAP’s robust and secure infrastructure, along with Capgemini’s sector expertise in digital transformation.
A library of over 50 ready-to-deploy use cases
As part of this initiative, Capgemini will make available to its clients more than 50 customized business AI use cases, developed and validated alongside SAP, and optimized with Mistral AI models. These cases are categorized by sector and include applications such as:
- Aerospace and Defense: field workers enhanced with AI-assisted solutions for resolving operational non-conformities.
- Energy and Utilities: predictive drone inspections for preventive maintenance.
- Cross-sector: intelligent supplier selection for indirect purchasing, streamlining decision-making.
The proposal is distinguished by being designed under principles of ethical and responsible AI, with integrated governance systems adapted to current regulations.
Generative AI as a driver of business resilience
Fernando Alvarez, Chief Strategy and Development Officer of Capgemini, emphasizes that “companies are increasingly turning to generative AI to strengthen their resilience, optimize operations, and accelerate return on investment. This collaboration allows even organizations in regulated environments to adopt AI with confidence and security.”
From Mistral AI, Marjorie Janiewicz, Executive Board Member, states that the alliance represents a new era: “Our cutting-edge multilingual models, combined with Capgemini’s expertise and SAP technology, make integrating generative AI accessible and effective even in the most demanding environments.”
From SAP, Thomas Saueressig, Executive Committee Member, underscores that “SAP BTP acts as the secure and scalable foundation that enables the deployment of generative AI in real-world contexts, delivering tangible business value.”
Real-world cases: the example of SupplierGPT
One of the highlighted projects of this collaboration has been SupplierGPT, developed alongside Brose, a global supplier in the automotive sector. This solution, based on SAP BTP, has improved efficiency in the management and collaboration with Brose’s global supplier network, reducing integration times and standardizing critical processes.
Michael Seifert, manager of Brose’s supplier portal, explains: “With Capgemini, we were able to take SupplierGPT from concept to implementation in a matter of weeks. This centralized platform has allowed us to accelerate innovation and enhance our go-to-market strategy.”
International recognition
The significance of this alliance is reinforced by the recent SAP Pinnacle Award 2025 awarded to Capgemini in the category of Innovation in Business AI, a distinction that recognizes partners demonstrating outstanding performance and continuous innovation within the SAP ecosystem.
