The nonprofit organization strengthens its leadership to promote a reliable and open digital identity with the addition of international profiles.
The Internet Society has announced the appointment of Seun Ojedeji as a new member of the Board of Directors of the Public Interest Registry (PIR), alongside the reappointment of Lena Beck Rørvig and Mike Silber. All three will begin a new three-year term starting in June 2025. Additionally, Jonathon Nevett’s position as president and CEO of PIR has been confirmed for another year.
With this addition, PIR—responsible for the .ORG top-level domain—reinforces its commitment to diverse, international governance focused on the public interest. Seun Ojedeji is a recognized tech executive with a strong background in Internet governance, DNS operations, and nonprofit leadership. Previously, he served on the board of AFRINIC, the regional IP address registry for Africa.
“We are pleased to welcome Seun Ojedeji to the PIR Board and thank Lena and Mike for their continued service. Their experience and commitment strengthen our mission to be an exemplary registry and promote a reliable digital identity for everyone,” stated Saerin Cho, chair of the PIR Board.
This announcement coincides with the conclusion of Keith Davidson’s second term, who has been a member of the board since 2019. The organization publicly thanked him for his dedication and valuable contributions over the years.
