Proofpoint, a leader in cybersecurity and regulatory compliance, has announced the acquisition of Nuclei, Inc., a U.S.-based technology company specializing in archiving for regulatory compliance and AI-driven data enrichment applied to communications in today’s workplace environments.

This acquisition will strengthen Proofpoint’s market-leading Digital Communication Governance (DCG) solution, which offers advanced capabilities for capturing, retaining, and analyzing communications across collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Slack, Zoom, Webex, WhatsApp, and RingCentral Voice.

Additionally, Proofpoint will continue to support the integration of its solutions with a wide variety of archiving and data governance platforms, ensuring that its connectors maintain reliable interoperability and compliance across its clients’ various environments.

“This acquisition allows us to accelerate our mission to provide the most advanced and comprehensive AI-powered digital communications compliance platform on the market today, and we are very pleased to welcome the talented team at Nuclei to Proofpoint,” said Harry Labana, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Proofpoint’s DCG Business Unit. “By combining Proofpoint’s leading people-centric security platform with Nuclei’s pioneering technology, we can deliver better regulatory compliance to our customers while providing valuable insights from communication data, which will be a game-changer, especially in highly regulated industries.”

Nuclei provides a comprehensive platform for capturing, archiving, and analyzing these communication data, allowing organizations to extract practical insights while ensuring regulatory compliance.

“At Nuclei, our mission is to democratize access to the world’s most valuable data by transforming workplace communications into structured, compliant, and actionable information,” said Eric Franzen, CEO of Nuclei, Inc. “This vision has driven our innovation from the very beginning.
