DXC and Akamai Form Alliance to Accelerate Zero Trust Adoption

The companies DXC Technology and Akamai Technologies have signed a new collaboration agreement aimed at and fostering joint innovation in key areas such as cybersecurity, the Zero Trust model, and cloud solutions.

Thanks to this partnership, both companies will facilitate the adoption of advanced technologies designed to protect critical infrastructures in essential sectors like energy, finance, healthcare, public administration, and manufacturing. The agreement aims to effectively respond to increasingly stringent regulatory requirements and the growing complexity of cyber threats.

“DXC and Akamai are empowering businesses with resilient solutions that enable them to mitigate advanced attacks, adapt to evolving regulatory requirements, and operate confidently in an increasingly complex digital environment,” emphasized Paul Joseph, Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Services at Akamai.

Through this partnership, DXC and Akamai will allow organizations to mitigate the most advanced cyber threats using cutting-edge technologies, including:

  • Micro-segmentation with Akamai Guardicore Segmentation to prevent lateral movement of attackers within networks.
  • Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) that enforces strict authentication of users and devices before granting access to critical resources. DXC is a global leader in the Zero Trust approach.
  • API security and cloud data, providing advanced protection against exploitation of vulnerabilities and data breaches.
  • AI-driven threat analysis, enabling proactive detection and response to cyberattacks before they compromise critical systems.

Along with the signing of the agreement, the announcement includes the highest certification achieved by DXC as a Guardicore Certified Service Provider (GCSP) in micro-segmentation, a recognition of its technical excellence and capacity to integrate high-level security solutions. This milestone further solidifies the alliance’s capability to deliver top-tier cybersecurity.

The alliance is already yielding results, with the first successes in Spain demonstrating the added value of the joint expertise of both companies. Looking ahead, Akamai and DXC see significant opportunities to expand their value in the cybersecurity market by providing customized security solutions to clients across various sectors.

“Cyber threats have reached an unprecedented level of sophistication, and organizations need a proactive approach to defend themselves. Together with Akamai, we are combining our decades of experience in cybersecurity to deliver security solutions that protect our clients in an increasingly high-risk environment,” said Mikel Salazar Peña, Cybersecurity Director of DXC in Spain and Portugal.

Regulatory Compliance with DORA and NIS2

In an increasingly demanding regulatory context, the alliance between DXC and Akamai will support organizations in aligning with key cybersecurity regulations, such as DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act) and NIS2 (Network and Information Security Directive 2). The alliance will help organizations meet legal and security requirements, protect their critical data and operations more effectively, and maintain business continuity in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
