Evolutio, a technology company specializing in cloud services and cybersecurity for the corporate sector and public administration, is taking a decisive step to establish itself as a 100% Spanish engine of technological innovation with the inauguration of its new AI Hub in Madrid.
This center, which represents an investment of over 10 million euros over the next three years, was created with the purpose of researching, developing, and scaling proprietary solutions based on data and artificial intelligence. Through this initiative, Evolutio reinforces its commitment to digital talent and advanced technologies, positioning itself at the forefront of the development of the next generation of agentive artificial intelligence in the country.
The team at the AI Hub consists of a multidisciplinary group of experts: data scientists and engineers, artificial intelligence specialists, front-end and back-end developers, architects, DevOps engineers, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners. Their work is not limited to an experimental environment but is fully integrated with the various areas and business units of the company. The approach is primarily practical, aimed at addressing real challenges and generating a tangible impact within the Spanish technology and business ecosystem.
“At Evolutio, we are very focused on the innovation of exponential technologies and the promotion of local talent, which gives us a tremendous capacity for developing intellectual property that we want to keep here,” states Jacinto Cavestany, CEO of Evolutio. “This creation of proprietary products by Evolutio, aligned with the strategies and real needs of our clients, is what will differentiate our offering and provide real added value to the markets.”
Since its inception, the AI Hub at Evolutio has launched a wide catalog of software products in strategic areas such as digital experience, cybersecurity, and cloud. Over the next three years, Evolutio plans to invest more than 10 million euros mainly destined for the development of technological solutions and the retention of highly specialized local talent. This will position the company as a spearhead to tackle the third wave of AI in Spain, following its predictive and generative categories, with the arrival of advanced virtual assistants of agentive AI that have the ability to make decisions and act to anticipate or solve problems proactively, based on their programming, learning, and the available data.
Professionals at the AI Hub employ the most innovative technologies in data processing and exploitation, machine learning models, as well as the inference, development, and integration of both open-source models and those from leading manufacturers. Evolutio is currently collaborating with major technology firms such as Google, AWS, Genesys, and Salesforce, among others, complementing and enhancing the capabilities of their market-leading solutions with new AI-powered functionalities.
The Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer (CAIO) of Evolutio, Raúl Chico, explains that “The AI Hub at Evolutio is the perfect breeding ground for identifying innovation opportunities, advancing the co-creation of various prototypes, and developing their full potential to turn them into commercial products for our clients or tools that accelerate our own internal capabilities. From all of this, we also gain enormous learning, even if initial expectations are not met, which will drive us to tackle the next challenges with enriched experience.”
The official inauguration of the AI Hub, held at Evolutio’s headquarters in Madrid, was attended by Miguel López-Valverde, the digitalization advisor of the Community of Madrid, who, along with Juan Corro, the manager of the autonomous computing body of the Madrid City Council (IAM), and members of the company’s management committee, met with representatives from client organizations in the public sector, defense, industry, among others. The digitalization advisor emphasized that “we are at a turning point where technology has reached a significant level of maturity to benefit citizens and public services; from the Administration, we will help promote innovations from companies that act as a catalyst for change in real use cases.” López-Valverde reminded attendees that “we are one of the most powerful regions in Europe in technology professionals with the potential to create value for citizens.” For his part, the IAM manager acknowledged Evolutio as “a key partner for its capabilities in the cloud as an accelerator and technological enabler in transformation projects, in addition to its strong commitment to AI as a value mechanism.” “We must move towards an Agentic City, a smart city that does things for its citizens, where AI and the cloud will be essential,” Corro pointed out.
Evolutio is a fully integrated company in the national innovation ecosystem, working collaboratively with entities such as the Center for Technological Development and Innovation (CDTI), the National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE), the Artificial Intelligence Cluster of the Community of Madrid, universities, and research centers.
At the event presenting Evolutio’s AI Hub, two live demonstrations of some of its most recent innovative products were also conducted, such as the STAR® (Sentiment Analysis Reporting) software, which incorporates sentiment analysis in customer service interactions to provide key insights that improve service quality and decision-making; and the COP® (Cyber Ops Power), a co-pilot designed for security operations center (SOC) agents to enhance their monitoring and detection capabilities of both real threats and false positives, developed by Evolutio in collaboration with INCIBE.
