Sercotel, one of the leading urban hotel chains in Spain and Andorra, has integrated Oracle OPERA Cloud Property Management System (PMS) and Oracle Simphony Cloud Point-of-Sale to support its ambitious international expansion plan. With a network of 77 corporate and franchised hotels and a total of 6,200 rooms, the adoption of Oracle Cloud allows Sercotel to centralize the management of its properties, standardize processes, and improve integration with reservation, finance, and loyalty program systems.
Technology for a More Personalized Experience
Thanks to Oracle Cloud, Sercotel has unified its guest profiles by integrating information about stays, restaurant consumption, and participation in loyalty programs. This enables personalized experiences regardless of the hotel in which guests stay. Furthermore, the mobility of OPERA Cloud has facilitated staff interaction with guests at any point in the hotel, streamlining processes such as check-in and check-out, maintenance, and room service management.
On the other hand, Oracle Simphony Cloud has optimized the management of room service and restaurant operations, improving efficiency and simplifying orders within the chain’s establishments.
Efficiency in Expansion and Operations
One of the main benefits of this digital transformation has been the reduction in the implementation time for new hotels, thanks to the flexibility of Oracle Cloud in configuring rates, inventories, and loading preexisting reservations. This has allowed Sercotel to accelerate its growth without compromising operational efficiency.
Alex Alt, executive vice president and general manager of Oracle Consumer Industries, highlighted the importance of this implementation:
“Travelers are increasingly looking for convenience and advanced technological experiences. Oracle Cloud provides Sercotel with innovative, scalable, and secure tools that enable them to continue growing, innovating, and offering memorable experiences across all their properties.”
Sercotel and Its Commitment to Innovation
Part of the Landon Group, Sercotel has more than 90 hotels in Spain and Andorra, operating under various management, leasing, and franchise models. With this partnership with Oracle, the chain strengthens its commitment to digitalization and excellence in customer service, ensuring a technological infrastructure ready for the future of the hotel industry.
