VeeamⓇ Software, a leader in Data Resilience, has announced the appointment of Santiago Pérez as its new Channel Director for Iberia, with the aim of strengthening the company’s presence in the Iberian market and accelerating its growth. Pérez will be responsible for business development and demand generation, working closely with Veeam’s key partners.
A cloud and cybersecurity expert leading Veeam’s channel
Santiago Pérez has over 20 years of experience in the technology sector, specializing in cloud and cybersecurity services. During more than two years as Cloud Manager at Veeam Iberia, he has led strategic digital transformation projects, helping companies to strengthen their resilience against the rise of ransomware attacks and advising on the integration of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) into cybersecurity strategies.
“Companies have had to strengthen their Data Resilience in light of the increase in ransomware attacks and the impact of emerging technologies like AI. Our focus will continue to be on working with partners to expand their customer base and create new business opportunities, ensuring predictable and sustainable profitability,” says Santiago Pérez.
Pérez holds a degree in computer engineering from UNED and prior to joining Veeam, he held various roles at technology companies such as Dimension Data and Colt. His background positions him as a professional with deep market knowledge and the ability to design strategies tailored to client needs.
Participation in key cybersecurity events
In his new role, Pérez will not only drive Veeam’s growth in Iberia but will also continue participating in strategic events in the industry, such as the upcoming edition of RootedCON, one of the leading cybersecurity conferences. He has also been a speaker at specialized forums such as Basque Industry and the Industrial Cybersecurity Center, sharing his expertise in data protection and emerging technologies.
