QNAP Introduces Hybrid Backup Center (Beta), a Cloud Platform That Streamlines Multi-Site Backup

QNAP® Systems, Inc., a leading provider of storage, networking, and computing solutions, has announced the launch of the beta version of Hybrid Backup Center, a SaaS platform designed to centralize and simplify backup management. With a unified interface, this tool allows for efficient management of Hybrid Backup Sync tasks across multiple QNAP NAS devices located at different sites, providing an ideal solution for companies with large NAS deployments requiring comprehensive control over complex backup operations.

Hybrid Backup Center not only optimizes workflows but also significantly reduces IT costs while enhancing data protection and reliability. Additionally, it facilitates the implementation of the 3-2-1 backup strategy, providing a simplified and effective approach to data management.

“Hybrid Backup Center simplifies backup management across multiple QNAP NAS sites,” emphasized Amol Narkhede, Director of QNAP’s SaaS Backup and Management Business Unit. He explained that this platform transforms fragmented workflows into centralized processes, eliminating the need for manual and complex tasks. “This allows organizations to focus on their core activities, confident that their data is protected and managed efficiently, while reducing the usual costs associated with IT infrastructures,” he added.

Key Features of Hybrid Backup Center

  • Centralized Management: Centrally manage Hybrid Backup Sync backup/sync jobs 1 to N or N to 1, schedule multiple backup tasks, and restore data.
  • Real-Time Monitoring: Monitor the status of backup and restoration jobs across multiple QNAP NAS devices and compatible destinations, and check backup logs from the same interface.
  • Supports QNAP NAS, cloud storage services, and file servers: Back up, restore, or sync data to/from local storage, QNAP-managed cloud services (including myQNAPcloud Storage), or remote servers (using RTRR, Rsync, FTP, and CIFS/SMB protocols).
  • Intuitive Topology Widget: Users can easily visualize the entire backup infrastructure with a simple and dynamic topology view. This feature provides a complete overview of all connected NAS devices, backup destinations, and job statuses, offering real-time insights and simplifying backup management for smooth operation and improved efficiency.
  • Versions and Retention: Supports backup versions based on numbers or days to maintain continuous data protection.
