Alliance Memory Expands DDR4 SDRAM Offering with New High-Density Devices for Advanced Applications

Alliance Memory has announced the expansion of its DDR4 CMOS SDRAM portfolio with the launch of six new devices with capacities of 8Gb, 16Gb, and 32Gb, available in 78-ball and 96-ball FBGA packages. This expansion responds to the growing demand for high-density options for applications in sectors such as computing, network storage, IoT devices, and surveillance systems.

The new models—AS4C512M16D4B-62BCN, AS4C1G8D4B-62BCN, AS4C1G16D4A-62BCN, AS4C2G8D4A-62BCN, AS4C2G16D4-62BCN, and AS4C4G8D4-62BCN—are built on advanced process technology, achieving optimized performance with lower power consumption and higher transfer speeds, all at a more accessible cost. Additionally, these devices operate at a voltage of 1.2V, which helps to improve battery life in portable devices like smartphones and tablets.

Enhanced Performance for Multiple Sectors

Designed to meet the requirements of applications in 5G, IoT, digital signal controllers, and HMI systems, the new Alliance Memory DDR4 SDRAM features an 8n prefetch architecture, allowing for clock speeds of up to 1600 MHz and transfer rates of 3200 MT/s. These features make them a suitable solution for diverse markets such as industrial, telecommunications, gaming, and consumer electronics.

The devices support sequential and interleaved burst types, with read or write burst options in BC4 and BL8 lengths, as well as real-time adjustment capabilities. Additionally, an auto pre-charge function enables automatic row pre-charging, optimizing burst sequences and facilitating performance management in high-demand processes. They also offer options for auto-refresh and self-refresh for greater usability and efficiency.

Compatibility and Flexibility

Designed with minimal chip size reduction, the new DDR4 SDRAM is compatible with existing pin-to-pin solutions, eliminating the need for costly restructuring and new component qualifications. This feature allows customers to integrate Alliance Memory devices into their current designs without significant modifications, simplifying the upgrade process across various platforms.

Available for commercial temperature ranges from 0°C to +95°C, these models offer a reliable and cost-effective option for applications that require high durability, such as industrial and telecommunications sectors.

Availability

Samples and production quantities of the AS4C512M16D4B-62BCN, AS4C1G8D4B-62BCN, AS4C1G16D4A-62BCN, AS4C2G8D4A-62BCN, AS4C2G16D4-62BCN, and AS4C4G8D4-62BCN models are now available, with estimated delivery times of four weeks.
