Broadcom Launches VeloRAIN and Titan to Strengthen AI Networks and Edge Infrastructure

Broadcom Inc. today announced significant advancements in its VeloCloud product portfolio, aimed at optimizing network infrastructure to support artificial intelligence (AI) and non-AI workloads, especially in distributed environments and at the edge. Among the highlights is the launch of VeloRAIN, an advanced network architecture that utilizes AI and machine learning (ML) to enhance performance and security in managing distributed AI workloads. Additionally, Broadcom introduced Titan, a new partner program designed for VeloCloud managed service providers (MSPs).

Innovations in VeloRAIN to Empower Enterprise Networks with AI

VeloRAIN, Broadcom’s new architecture, enables companies to optimize their networks for complex and autonomous AI workloads, particularly in distributed applications and edge operations. This architecture incorporates advanced intelligence that allows the identification of AI applications through ML, improving the detection of encrypted traffic and optimizing quality of service (QoS) for critical applications. Furthermore, it introduces enhancements in network efficiency and dynamic prioritization, ensuring that key enterprise applications receive the necessary attention without manual intervention.

“VeloRAIN is the foundation of our innovation in AI networking, enabling us to tackle the demands of enterprise AI workloads,” said Sanjay Uppal, vice president of Broadcom’s VeloCloud division.

New VeloCloud Edge Devices to Maximize Performance and Scalability

Broadcom also unveiled the new VeloCloud Edge 4100 and 5100 devices, designed for data centers and large enterprise locations. The Edge 4100 model can manage up to 12,000 tunnels with performance of up to 30 Gbps, while the Edge 5100 supports up to 100 Gbps and 20,000 tunnels, making them ideal for high-performance environments and demanding workloads. These solutions simplify network architecture and enable companies to support AI applications at the edge in a scalable manner.

Titan, the New Program for Managed Service Providers

The Titan program, created for VeloCloud MSPs, introduces a performance-based rewards model and facilitates access to advanced technology. Titan also includes a flexible licensing model and a white-label option, allowing partners to tailor their services for a wide variety of clients. This program, which replaces the previous VMware program, offers three levels of membership: Pinnacle, Premier, and Registered, with exclusive benefits for partners.

The “State of the Edge” Report Shows the Momentum of AI at the Edge

Broadcom also released its “State of the Edge” report, based on a study involving 192 companies from various regions. According to the report, 68% of respondents seek to reduce latency in their applications and improve connectivity. This analysis reinforces the need for more robust networks at the edge to process data and make quick decisions, driving the adoption of AI in enterprise networks.

With these innovations, Broadcom advances its goal of establishing a robust and scalable network infrastructure designed to meet the challenges posed by AI adoption for modern enterprises.
