Apple has launched Business Connect, a platform designed for businesses worldwide, including those without a physical location, to manage how their data and brand appear in key Apple applications like Maps, Wallet, and Mail. This tool allows any verified business to create a strong and accessible brand identity for over 1 billion Apple users, enhancing their local and global presence.
David Dorn, Senior Director of Internet Software and Services at Apple, stated: “Business Connect enables companies, regardless of their size or location, to manage the information Apple users see in our everyday apps. With this platform, we provide businesses with an easy and reliable way to build trust with customers and foster their growth.”
Key Tools for Improving Visibility and Customer Connection
Business Connect already allowed businesses to customize their info cards in Apple Maps, including photos, logos, and enabling direct actions like ordering and booking. With the expansion of features, online and virtual service businesses can now personalize their visual presence, extending their reach to new customers. This option makes it possible for more businesses to strengthen their identity on Apple, creating a trusting relationship and direct access with their clients.
New Features: Branded Mail, Tap to Pay, and More
Apple has introduced functionalities to reinforce the visual identity of businesses in its apps. Branded Mail allows businesses to include their name and logo in emails sent from Mail, making messages stand out and be more recognizable. This feature is already available for subscription, and logos will begin appearing to users before the end of the year.
Additionally, businesses can now include their logo in transactions through Tap to Pay on iPhone, an option that lets customers see the business’s brand when making a payment, adding security and trust to the process. In 2024, Apple plans to introduce a business caller ID, which will display the business name and logo on incoming calls, clearly differentiating business calls from unwanted ones.
Simplified Registration and Free Brand Management
Apple has made registering for Business Connect a simple process for all types of businesses, including online and service-based ones. With an Apple ID, business owners can sign up from a computer and start managing their brand profile for free. Apple has also partnered with agencies like DAC Group, Rio SEO, SOCi, Uberall, and Yext to help businesses optimize their presence and manage it at scale.
With Business Connect, Apple takes a significant step towards enhancing the visibility and confidence of businesses within its ecosystem, offering brand management tools that facilitate growth and interaction with millions of users. This platform enables businesses to solidify their identity and strengthen their connection with customers in a unique and effective way.
