Celonis, a global leader in process mining and process intelligence, has announced the launch of “Celonis Networks” at its annual user conference, Celosphere. This innovative platform allows companies to share process intelligence in real time, expanding transparency and process optimization beyond the boundaries of a single organization, with a special focus on improving the supply chain.
Celonis Networks sets itself apart from traditional data exchange technologies, such as Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), APIs, and emails, by providing continuous and updated information on shared processes between companies. This approach enables the identification and correction of disruptions in processes collaboratively, minimizing risks and improving operational efficiency.
“With Celonis Networks, companies can now exchange actionable information in real time and at scale for the first time,” said Eugenio Cassiano, Vice President of Strategy and Innovation at Celonis. “This goes beyond transactional data; with shared process intelligence, companies can actively collaborate to optimize operations and reduce risks.”
Success Story: Supply Chain Collaboration
Conrad Electronic, the largest B2B technical supply platform in Europe, has implemented Celonis Networks alongside its suppliers Schukat Electronic and TD SYNNEX. Although these companies were already using EDI technology to manage orders, they faced issues with outdated price updates and delivery dates. Now, thanks to Celonis Networks, they share 5,000 daily order updates in real time, including information on order status, delivery dates, and shipping details.
This real-time collaboration has allowed Conrad Electronic to proactively address potential discrepancies in orders. Axel Wieczorek, Sales Manager at Schukat Electronic, highlighted that “Celonis Networks eliminates the need for most of our manual work with EDI orders, as Conrad’s procurement team can update orders directly.”
Meanwhile, Pablo Fernández, Director of Innovation and Process Transformation at TD SYNNEX, emphasized the importance of having updated and shared data throughout the supply chain: “The market demands speed and accuracy in data. Celonis Networks has the potential to transform process optimization between companies by providing a standardized, open, and efficient platform.”
A Common Language for Business Processes
One key aspect of Celonis Networks is the standardization of the data structure shared among collaborating companies. Jörg Frenzel, Director of Operational Excellence at Conrad Electronic, stated that “the platform allows us to have a common data structure among the three companies, facilitating mutual understanding of our shared process. This means that a purchase order from Conrad can ‘translate’ into a customer order for Schukat Electronic or TD SYNNEX and vice versa.”
In addition, setting up Celonis Networks is simple and flexible. Business users can configure data exchange and add new partners without the need for a complex integration process, a significant improvement over traditional EDI systems.
Celonis Networks: Towards a New Era of Intercompany Collaboration
Currently in beta phase, Celonis Networks represents a significant step towards increased collaboration in business processes. By enabling companies to share process intelligence in real time, Celonis Networks aims to reduce errors and increase operational efficiency in sectors such as the supply chain, where agility and accuracy are crucial.
With this new tool, Celonis continues to establish itself as a leading platform in process intelligence, offering companies a solution that goes beyond traditional systems and enables seamless and efficient collaboration.
