Álvaro García Abarrio joins WatchGuard with over two decades of experience in the cybersecurity and distribution channel field. His professional career includes leadership roles in renowned companies such as Trellix, McAfee, and Telefónica, where he has demonstrated his ability to manage sales, marketing, and business development strategies.
In his most recent position at Trellix, García Abarrio was responsible for operations in Spain, the Middle East, Turkey, and the Nordic Countries, leading significant digital transformation initiatives in various markets and sectors.
Clear objectives for the Iberian market
García Abarrio’s main mission at the helm of WatchGuard in Iberia will be to drive the company’s growth in the region, with a special focus on strengthening and expanding relationships with channel partners. WatchGuard aims to become the preferred cybersecurity platform for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) in the Iberian Peninsula.
