Gogo Business Aviation and Airshare have announced the signing of a multi-year agreement to provide enhanced in-flight connectivity services. This agreement will allow Airshare’s aircraft management customers the option to install Gogo AVANCE, Gogo 5G, and Gogo Galileo technologies, the company’s low earth orbit (LEO) satellite broadband service.
A Step Towards Excellence in Private Aviation
John Owen, President and CEO of Airshare, stated: “We are focused on delivering a first-class experience for all who fly with us, whether for business or pleasure. Secure and reliable connectivity has never been more essential for those flying privately with us.”
Airshare operates a nationwide fleet of close to 150 aircraft, ranging from turboprops to ultra-long range jets. Their Fractional Program offers fractional shares and jet cards for popular aircraft such as the Challenger 3500 and Phenom 300.
Cutting-Edge Technology for a Better Experience
The agreement continues a longstanding partnership between Gogo and Airshare, where 65% of their Phenom 300 aircraft have already been upgraded to Gogo AVANCE, with plans to upgrade the rest of the fleet in the next 12 months.
Sergio Aguirre, President and COO of Gogo, commented: “This partnership is a commitment from Airshare and Gogo to provide an even better experience to our mutual customers in North America and beyond with our family of connectivity services.”
Significant Technological Improvements
In particular, the Gogo Galileo service allows any aircraft of any size with an installed AVANCE system to add the new global LEO service with a single fuselage-mounted antenna, available in two options (HDX or FDX) to address specific customer and aircraft operator needs.
The compact HDX antenna offers fast, low-latency performance across the range of executive aviation aircraft worldwide, from light jets and turboprops to larger executive jets. The larger form factor FDX antenna offers even greater performance and speeds three times faster than HDX.
