Globant opens innovation and AI center in Madrid and announces a $230 million investment in Spain.

Globant, the renowned technology company, has chosen Madrid as the location for its new innovation and artificial intelligence (AI) center. This strategic move is accompanied by a significant investment announcement in Spain, thus consolidating the company’s position in the European market.

Million-dollar investment and strategic expansion

Globant has announced that over the next five years it will invest more than 230 million euros in Spain. This substantial investment will be allocated to the development of AI and digital transformation projects, not only for the Spanish market but also for the rest of Europe. The decision highlights the central role that Spain plays in Globant’s expansion plans in the European continent.

The new innovation center in Madrid

The brand new Globant center is located in the Edificio Ruiz Picasso 11 in Madrid, with a total space of 4,000 square meters. Beyond being an operational center, this hub is designed for Globant’s clients to experience firsthand specific applications of cutting-edge technologies such as AI, virtual reality, and augmented reality.

Track record in AI and technological development

Globant’s commitment to AI has more than a decade of history. The company has integrated AI agents in the software development lifecycle to enhance the quality and efficiency of its developments. These agents, supported by Globant’s proprietary AI products such as Augoor, MagnifAI, Navigated, and GeneXus Enterprise AI, have the ability to design and test applications autonomously.

Growth of new business units

The weight of Globant’s Spanish division within the company is reflected in the growth of new business units. Globant GUT stands out, a network of creativity and marketing studios supported by technology, and Sportian, a brand born as a result of the agreement signed between the company and LaLiga.

Statements from the leaders

Martin Migoya, CEO and one of the founders of Globant, emphasized the strategic importance of Madrid, recalling that the company has a presence in 33 countries: “Madrid is a fundamental gateway for our expansion in Europe. This investment and opening confirms our commitment to Globant’s growth in this key region.”

On the other hand, Martín Umaran, President of Globant Europe and one of the founders of the division, emphasized the company’s commitment to innovation: “With the opening of our new hub in this city, we reaffirm our commitment to being the best partner for the transformation of key players in Spain, offering digital solutions that arise from the perfect combination of technology, strategy, and creativity enhanced by artificial intelligence.”
