.es domains Share Technological Innovations at LACTLD Tech Seminar

The Domains.es registry actively participated in the Tech Seminar organized by the Latin American and Caribbean Top-Level Domain Association (LACTLD), held virtually from September 10 to 12. This international event brought together administrators of country code top-level domains (ccTLDs) from the Latin American and Caribbean region with the purpose of strengthening the capabilities and competencies of member countries.

Knowledge and Experience Exchange

During the three days of the seminar, participants had the opportunity to share their most recent technological projects. Jorge Moratalla, Head of Innovation Area at Red.es, highlighted the importance of this meeting to learn about the initiatives being implemented by different registries within the LACTLD community.

Among the most notable presentations were:

– The new domain management dashboard for .AR (Argentina)
– The experiences of using Power BI by the .CO (Colombia) domain
– The implementation of FRED in the .PY (Paraguay) Registry
– The MoSAPI monitoring API (ICANN)
– Abuse experiences in the DNS in the .BR (Brazil) domain

Dominios.es took the opportunity to present one of its most recent technological developments: an Artificial Intelligence-based information system for detecting suspicious domains, known as “amaIA.” This innovation demonstrates the Spanish entity’s commitment to security and integrity in the domain space.

Strengthening International Bonds

Dominios.es’ participation in this event not only allowed for sharing their technological advances but also for strengthening ties with the Latin American and Caribbean registry community. The Spanish entity, as a member affiliated through the Red.es team, expressed gratitude for the invitation and organization of the seminar.

The event reaffirms the importance of international collaboration in the management of internet domains, promoting knowledge exchange and best practices among participating countries.
