cdmon: sustained growth and leadership in the Spanish technology sector

Since its founding in 2002, the Catalan company cdmon has experienced remarkable growth, establishing itself as a leader in the technology sector in Spain. In 2023, the company achieved a turnover of 8.5 million euros and expects to close 2024 with a growth close to 6%, projecting a figure of 9 million euros, representing a 12% growth in two years.

Cdmon is among the top 10 companies in the sector in Spain and ranks third in Catalonia. It offers more than 800 domain extensions, allowing companies to protect and represent their brand on the internet. It also stands out as the first registrar entity for .cat domains.

Created two decades ago with the mission of returning sovereignty over data to users, cdmon promotes ownership and control of information for both companies and end users. Currently, the company is led by Jaume R. Palau as CEO, accompanied by Marc Palau, Director of Technology; Miguel Ortega Haro, Director of Processes and Security; David Blanch, Director of the Digital area; and Pere Romero, Director of Finance.

“Innovation is part of our DNA. Our commitment is reflected in commercial honesty, ensuring transparency and eliminating small print, ensuring that everything works correctly from the beginning and supporting the continuous growth of our clients,” says Jaume R. Palau, CEO of cdmon.

The company has seen constant growth in its customer base, which currently exceeds 60,000, with over 200,000 active users. This growth reflects the trust and satisfaction of customers in the high-quality services that cdmon offers.

With nearly a hundred employees and its headquarters in Barcelona, cdmon adapts to the operational and strategic needs of the company to maintain excellence in customer service.

Forecasts for the 2024-2025 financial year

Since its inception, cdmon has been a pioneer in creating an open and quality internet where everyone could be. “Twenty years ago, we worked to expand. Today, our goal is to take our proposal to the rest of the continents under an expansion plan that guarantees the same quality to everyone, wherever you are,” says Jaume R. Palau, CEO of cdmon.

Looking to the future, and aiming to consolidate its position among the top ten technology companies nationally, cdmon has worked to become a benchmark for its highly personalized service and specialized customer support team with 24/7 attention. Locally, in Catalonia, cdmon ranks among the top three operators, managing 60,000 clients.

For 2025, the company estimates reaching a turnover close to 10 million euros, with over 70,000 clients nationally.

Currently, the company is reinvesting profits in new projects focused on research, product improvement, and development of products and services.

New positioning and value proposition

Cdmon has identified the need to build and evolve the DNA of its brand to offer a more relevant and consistent experience across all products and platforms. This new positioning focuses on allowing users to regain control of their digital presence and operations, ensuring their sovereignty at all times, regardless of the size of their company.

The company has begun constructing an ecosystem of interconnected, yet undependable services, with the aim of offering quality services without compromising ethical principles.

“The evolution of our brand is a response to the need to adapt to a rapidly changing digital environment, ensuring that our customers retain total control over their digital operations without restrictions,” emphasizes Marc Palau, co-founder and Technology Director.

In the immediate future, they have conducted a thorough analysis of the trajectory and emerging market needs, adopting a renewed approach to the brand.

“This renewal process goes beyond a simple visual update; it is a statement of our principles. We set a new standard in the industry, where honesty and proactive responsibility become not only commitments but concrete and continuous actions,” concludes Marc Palau.
