NetApp has appointed José Manuel Petisco as the new Vice President for the EEMEA region, which covers Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa, Spain, Portugal, and Latin America. Petisco, who previously held the position of General Manager for Iberia, will now take on the responsibility of leading the company’s operations in this vast region.
Petisco joined NetApp in 2021, starting as the Cloud Director for Ibero-America. Since then, he has demonstrated a remarkable ability to manage and grow the Iberian markets. According to Giovanna Sangiorgi, Senior Vice President for EMEA and Latin America, “José Petisco has led the business in Iberia and helped Spain climb the ranks and position itself at the top. He inherits a solid legacy.”
Sangiorgi expressed confidence that Petisco, with the support of the executive team and his experience, “will continue to bring growth and added value to our customers and partners in this area.”
In his new role, Petisco will oversee the implementation of NetApp’s global strategy, focusing on digital transformation and driving intelligent data infrastructures for cloud environments in key markets.
With nearly two decades of experience at Cisco and previous roles at 3Com, Alcatel, Ericsson, and Veritas, Petisco is ready to take on this new challenge. He commented, “Taking on this new role represents a significant challenge and, at the same time, immense responsibility.”
During his time at NetApp, he has been at the forefront of digital transformation, working closely with teams and clients to implement innovative solutions. “My goal in this new role is undoubtedly to continue driving NetApp to remain a leader in these strategic regions,” he added.
Petisco also stated that he is “committed to taking our vision and strategy to new horizons, always focused on the increasingly changing needs of our customers and market dynamics.”
