The Advanced Technology Center (ATC) of Avanade in Malaga, a pillar in digital transformation in Spain, is celebrating its twentieth anniversary. Since its creation in 2004, the center has experienced significant growth, expanding from 11 initial employees to 286, and has established itself as a leader in the technology sector, both nationally and across Europe.

Over the past 20 years, the ATC has not only increased its workforce but has also significantly expanded its operational reach. Currently, the center manages over 200 projects annually and maintains active relationships with 80 clients, showcasing its ability to adapt and evolve in a constantly changing technological environment.
Patricia Muñoz Zea, Director of the Avanade Technology Center in Malaga, expressed her pride in the center’s journey: “The ATC has evolved from being a modest development center to becoming a vital hub for Avanade’s business in Europe. An Innovation Lab in the Heart of Andalucia
The ATC hosts the Innovation Lab and the Business Applications Hub of Avanade Spain, totaling 100 professionals dedicated to these areas. These teams are essential in the development of cutting-edge projects, including application modernization and the Journey to Cloud, as well as initiatives in generative artificial intelligence.
“From Malaga, we have launched flagship projects like the Solution Factory, which employs 76 shared services experts, highlighting the importance of the ATC not only for Avanade but for the entire technology industry in the region,” added Muñoz Zea.
